I am 100% caught up with the food and exercise entries into Nutribase. The second week went slower, as expected, than the first week. Wrapped into this week was my first trip, so I learned a few things that I will detail below.

Weight Lost

I ended up 3 pounds down for the week. This was disappointing. Rather than it being a plateau it was related to an increase calorie count during the week and some awfully nasty jerkey I ate on the trip. Click for a larger graph.

Food Eaten

The food went well this week and the fasting was easy. My downfall was the gas station jerkey. While having limited carbs, it was heavy in calories. 5 of the cheese and beef combos cost me close to 1000 calories. Piss poor planning on my part.

If you look at last week’s summary versus this one you’ll see that I consumed an average of 2894 calories a day this week versus 1987 the prior week. The difference is 907 calories a day.

Exercise Completed

The good news about this week is that the exercise continued without interruption. Even when I was out of town I worked out in the hotel gym and ended up walking around a mall for two hours.

General Thoughts

This was a tougher one, as we went on a trip to visit my daughter in college. We left on Thursday night, which was an eating day. This meant I ate more than normal during the day and binged on the jerkey during the 4.5 hour car trip.

The following day, Friday, was easier due to working out at the hotel and walking through the mall. Saturday came and we went to a football game. Yeah. I had three of the largest hot dogs I’ve ever seen without the buns. I am sure those pushed me over. Since I didn’t have perfect nutriontional information on them I had to guess. I took the highest calorie hot dogs in Nutribase.

While this week was disappointing with a net of only three pounds, I am encouraged I was able to travel and stick to the alternate day fasting.
